Role Overview

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Finance candidate for our Bangalore office. The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance will be a key member of the Finance leadership team as we undergo transformation of our finance and business processes. The ideal candidate will have the experience working with a global team, including an in-depth knowledge of accounting practices and regulations, strong leadership skills, a proven track record in managing financial processes, and the flexibility to work multiple time zones.

This role requires an individual to be “hands-on,” interacting and collaborating with FP&A and Operations. It is essential that the candidate have a proven track record to work effectively and collaboratively with cross functional roles at all levels.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer located in San Francisco, CA, the Senior Manager, Strategic Finance will work closely with the executive management to influence, refine, and implement strategy. The ideal candidate will have worked in a successful high growth company and can bring such experiences to Aarki.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and other senior leaders to manage Aarki’s operational finance functions, including financial planning and a range of strategic financial matters.
  • Build out the forecasting model and help develop appropriate policies, internal controls, and procedures for Aarki.
  • Serve as a key business partner and contributor to growth strategies, tactics, and mid and long-range planning.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual and long-term budgeting and planning processes.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations on financial and operational metrics to executive management to support decision making.
  • Increase the company’s ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision-making through sound financial management.
  • Support the company’s corporate development team on M&A and strategic investment analyses and decisions as it pertains to Aarki.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting systems, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the FP&A activities through the development and management of all internal and external financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and mid and long-range plans.

Skills & Experience:

  • M.B.A. or master’s degree in finance is a plus
  • Demonstrated educational success at a reputable university
  • 7+ years with 2 years in a leadership role and hands-on experience in private and/or public companies experiencing high growth in a fast-growth companies or multinational; technology industry experience is a preferred
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, combined with strong attention to detail, and the ability to build a model from “scratch” for the four major components of a financial model
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and the components of the financial statements
  • Ability to take high-level strategic perspectives while not being afraid to dive into the details of specific analyses
  • Ability to interact with and influence people at all levels of an organization
  • High degree of financial and analytical process leadership and business acumen
  • Experience with Blackline, SQL and Tableau preferred
  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets and Excel
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
